Replacing the screen on a Google Pixel Tablet 2023 looks simple at first.
Then the glass shatters.
And suddenly patience becomes your most important tool.

This guide walks through the full repair process, exactly as it happens in real life.

🔧  Tools You’ll Need

• Polar Tech Magic Self-Heating Pad 

• Polar Tech Phone Repair Toolkit (Isopropyl alcohol ,Metal shim, Plastic pry card, Tweezers, Spudger, Precision screwdriver set)

• Clamps or rubber bands (optional)

🟢 Step 1: Heat and Remove the Screen 

Start by heating the screen for a few minutes.
This softens the adhesive and makes separation easier.

Slide a thin metal blade into the gap.
Carefully cut through the adhesive around the edges.

Try to lift the screen off cleanly.If it works, you save time.If it doesn’t…The screen may shatter further, and the tempered glass can separate.At this point, slow down.Sharp glass edges are everywhere.

Use tweezers to remove the broken glass piece by piece.This part takes patience.A lot of patience.

Reheat the screen as needed.Softer glue is always easier to deal with.

🟡 Step 2: Disconnect and Clean 

Once the screen is loose, remove the metal plate using a T3 screwdriver.

Disconnect the battery BTB first.Always cut power before touching anything else.Peel up the protective film.Then disconnect the screen BTB.Now the screen can be removed completely.

Next, clean the frame.
There will likely be glass still stuck to the edges.

Be very careful near the front camera.
It’s fragile and easy to damage.

Once all glass is gone, remove the leftover adhesive.
The new screen needs a clean, flat surface.

🔵 Step 3: Prepare and Test the New Screen 

Reinstall the front camera into its original position.

Before installing the new screen, remove the flex cable from the old one.
This cable will be reused.

Attach the flex cable to the new screen.Make sure the connector clicks and locks properly.

Connect the screen BTB.
Reconnect the battery BTB.

Power the device on.
Check the display.

If it lights up and responds correctly, you’re good to go.

🟣 Step 4: Glue, Reassemble, and Finish ✅

Power off the tablet again and remove the screen.

Apply adhesive around the frame.
Use thinner glue near the front camera area.

Reconnect the flex cable.
Reinstall the battery connector metal plate and tighten the screws.

Add a bit of extra glue in the corners.
This helps with long-term bonding.

Press the screen firmly into place.
Make sure it sits flat with no gaps.

Clean the display and wipe away excess glue.

For best results, use clamps or rubber bands.
Leave them on for one to two hours.
