iPhone 16 Pro Max Back Glass Replacement Guide

Replacing the back glass on an iPhone 16 Pro Max isn’t especially difficult, but it does require patience.
The glass is badly shattered, the adhesive is strong, and several components must be transferred carefully.
Follow the steps below and take your time.

Tools You’ll Need 🧰

• Polar Tech Magic Self-Heating Pad 

• Polar Tech Phone Repair Toolkit (Isopropyl alcohol ,Metal shim, Plastic pry card, Tweezers, Spudger, Precision screwdriver set)

🔥 Step 1: Heat and Remove the Back Glass

We start by powering the phone off.
Heat the back using a self-heating pad for around ten minutes.
Once warm, use a thin blade to create a small gap.
Add isopropyl alcohol to soften the adhesive.
Insert a plastic pick and slowly work around the edges.
If it gets tight, add more alcohol and keep going.

🔧 Step 2: Disconnect and Remove Components

After opening the back, remove the screws using a Y000 tri-point screwdriver.
Disconnect the battery first, then the wireless charging connector.
Lift the back glass away and set it aside.
Clean all broken glass and leftover adhesive from the frame.
Remove the two bottom screws using a P2 pentalobe screwdriver.

🧩 Step 3: Transfer Parts to the New Back Glass

Compare the old and new back glass.
Transfer the integrated module that includes the flash, microphone, and wireless charging coil.
This step requires extra care—especially around the charging coil.
If anything tears slightly, it can be secured later with adhesive.
Reinstall any cushioning foam and remove protective films.

✅ Step 4: Reassemble and Seal

Apply waterproof back glass adhesive evenly around the frame.
Reconnect the flex cables and battery, making sure everything clicks into place.
Reinstall all screws, then press the back glass down firmly and evenly.
Finish by reinstalling the bottom screws.

🎉 Final Result

Once sealed, the iPhone 16 Pro Max looks brand new again.
This repair takes time, but with patience, it’s very achievable.
