Step-by-Step Guide to Safely Replace Your Galaxy S24 Ultra screen

Replacing a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra screen may seem intimidating, but with the right tools and patience, it can be done efficiently and safely. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the full screen replacement process.

Today, we received a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with a damaged display. A black spot had appeared in the centre of the screen — a clear sign of screen leakage, likely due to internal damage from a drop or pressure.

⚙️ Tools You'll Need:

Polar Tech Magic Self-Heating Pad
Polar Tech Phone Repair Toolkit (Isopropyl alcohol ,Metal shim, Plastic pry card, Tweezers, Spudger, Precision screwdriver set)
Adhesive strips or pre-cut waterproof adhesive

🛠 Step 1: Heat and Separate the Back Cover

Always power off the device before fix it. We used the Polar Tech Magic Self-Heating Pad (link in the description) to soften the adhesive of back cover.

Once heated:

Use a metal shim to create an initial gap.
Add a few drops of isopropyl alcohol to weaken the adhesive.
Gently insert a plastic card and work around the edges.

⚠️ Take your time — rushing this step could crack the glass.

🔩 Step 2: Remove Screws & Components

The S24 Ultra has 17 screws holding various internal covers.

Remove the mainboard shield
Disconnect the battery first for safety
Then disconnect all other flex cables
Remove the low speaker (6 screws)

Detach the remaining flex cables connecting to the board. Most components are modular, but handle them gently.

Let’s double-check if there’s any part we forgot to remove.

🧩 Step 3: Install the New Screen & Test Before Sealing

Check the new screen
Reverse the disassembly steps.
Reconnect all flex cables and tighten all 17 screws.

Before sealing the device, test the screen functions.

Once confirmed:

Applying new adhesive helps improve water and dust resistance.
Carefully realign and press down the back cover
Use clamps or press tools to keep pressure while the adhesive sets (About two hours)

The screen is now fully replaced and functioning like new. This kind of repair can extend the lifespan of your device and save money compared to buying a new phone.
