Samsung Galaxy A04s Charging Board Replacement Guide 🔧

If your Samsung Galaxy A04s isn’t charging properly, only charges at a certain angle, or doesn’t respond to the cable at all, the charging board is a common culprit. In this guide, we’ll walk through the full teardown and charging board replacement process in a clear, real‑world way.

Tools You’ll Need

Step 1: Power Off & Open the Back Cover 🔌

Start by powering the phone off completely. Remove the SIM tray and set it aside.

The Galaxy A04s uses a clip‑on back cover, so no heat is required here. Use a plastic pry tool or your finger to begin separating the back cover from the frame. Work slowly around the edges. This step can take some effort, so patience is key.

Be careful not to use too much force. There’s a fingerprint flex cable connected to the back cover, and it can tear easily if pulled too hard.

Step 2: Disconnect Components & Remove the Old Charging Board 🔩

Once the clips are released, remove the screws securing the internal brackets. There are 14 screws in total, plus one hidden inside.

Lift the mainboard bracket using a pry tool, then disconnect the battery BTB connector. After that, disconnect the fingerprint FPC so the back cover can be fully removed.

Next, remove the charging board bracket. It’s usually easier to lift it from the side. Disconnect the coaxial cable and the display BTB connector, then remove the securing screw. The charging board can now be lifted out easily.

Step 3: Install the New Charging Board 🧩

Place the new charging board into position. Install the screw loosely at first—don’t fully tighten it yet.

Reconnect the display BTB and the coaxial cable, making sure each connector clicks firmly into place. Once everything is aligned correctly, tighten the screw.

Reinstall the charging board bracket, reconnect the battery BTB, and don’t forget to reconnect the fingerprint FPC.

Step 4: Test, Reassemble & Finish ✅

Reinstall the mainboard bracket and put all the screws back in their original positions.

Before closing the back cover, plug in a charger and test the phone. If the charging icon appears, that’s a good sign. Power the phone on, wait for the system to load, and test the touch screen to make sure everything is working properly.

Once confirmed, reinstall the back cover by pressing firmly around the edges until all clips lock into place. Reinsert the SIM tray.

The repair is now complete.

Take your time with clip‑on back covers and flex cables—they’re usually the easiest parts to damage. Testing before full reassembly can save you a lot of time if something isn’t connected properly.
